Protect your account.
Review your sign-in settings, update your password, manage verification options and check the devices connected to your account.
Change password
Choose a unique password that you do not use elsewhere.
Tip: a long passphrase is often easier to remember and harder to guess. Never share your password or verification codes.
Two-step verification
Add an extra layer of protection when signing in.
Set up requires server-side support for authenticator enrolment and verification. Keep recovery codes in a secure place if your service provides them.
Active sessions
Review devices currently signed in to your account and revoke sessions you do not recognize.
If you see an unfamiliar device, revoke that session and change your password. The server should validate session ownership before allowing revocation.
Sign-in activity
Use recent account activity to spot sign-ins you do not recognize.
Security checklist
A few simple habits help protect your account.
